John F. DeBiase

John DeBiase joined the Board in January 2021. Mr. DeBiase has 40 years of experience working in nonprofits. He began working with the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (ID/D) population in 2002 and retired from his role as Executive Director with ANIBIC in 2019. His THIRD AGE LIVING OPTIONS® proposal planned a new paradigm for the aging ID/D population. He earned his BS from St John’s University and MS from Iona College with honors (he was the recipient of the 2002 Dominic Carbone Award for Academic Excellence). His Master’s Thesis: Biological Warfare – New protocols in the fight against Crohn’s Disease, was presented at the European Society of Medicine and Health Care, XVth European Conference on Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care (August 2001), Lisbon, Portugal. John currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Iona College in the Health Care Administration discipline. Mr. DeBiase married the former Sheila Mullins in 1987. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law and a granddaughter. John was ordained a Permanent Diaconate in the Catholic Church, Diocese of Brooklyn in 2017.
