Options for Community Living, Inc. recently received a $ 5,000 grant award from Wells Fargo. This award supports Options housing program for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.
Long Island has more AIDS cases than any other suburban area in the United States. Options provides safe, affordable housing with supportive case management services for people who were formerly homeless or inadequately housed.
“Supportive housing is one of the most effective interventions ever devised to end homelessness among vulnerable populations,” said Yolanda Robano-Gross, executive director, Options for Community Living, Inc. “For people with serious and chronic health conditions like HIV/AIDS, supportive housing sets them on the path to recovery. We are thankful for this award from Wells Fargo and appreciative of their efforts in the community.”
