Long Island Roller Rebels Give Back

On Friday, November 19th, employees, friends and supporters of Options for Community Living attended the Black vs. Pink Roller Derby Charity Game hosted by the Long Island Roller Rebels at Skate Safe in Old Bethpage.

Each year, the Roller Rebels end their season with a game to benefit a local not-for-profit and this year, the team chose Options for Community Living, Inc.

“We were thrilled and flattered to be chosen as the beneficiary of the proceeds from the annual charity game,” said Yolanda Robano-Gross, executive director, Options for Community Living, Inc.  “In addition to being tremendous athletes, these women are very community minded.  They are amazing!”

As a result of the evening, the Long Island Roller Rebels made a $1,000 donation to support Options programs for Long Island residents in need.
