Leviton employees give back to the community by lending a helping hand to Options For Community Living, Inc.

Continuing their commitment to building stronger communities, Leviton employees spent the day volunteering at a home owned and operated by Options for Community Living, Inc. (Options). Their efforts focused on beautifying the home, encouraging residents to enjoy the summer days outdoors.

Leviton volunteers spent the day painting the interior of the home and giving the backyard a makeover. This makeover included a fenced-in herb and vegetable garden, two new garden flower beds, a composting area, and a picnic table assembled and stained by the volunteers.

“Every person deserves to come home to a beautiful home that they love,” said Elaina Gouramanis, Human Resources Administrator at Leviton. “We understand how important safe, affordable housing is to Long Islanders in need, and we are proud to support Options in its mission to provide this housing.”

“The volunteers from Leviton are so passionate about giving back to the community. From the moment they set foot on the property, they were excited and determined to create something beautiful for our residents,” said Jessica Schwab, Development Assistant at Options.

Leviton is dedicated to creating strong communities across the globe. With donations of money, food, and time to local and global organizations, Leviton is committed to making real advancements happen in the community.

Options provides supportive housing for individuals and families at more than 160 homes scattered across Long Island. Supportive housing helps people with long histories of homelessness due to obstacles like serious mental illness, substance use disorders, or chronic medical conditions remain stably housed.  Homes are designed to blend seamlessly into the community.
