Generous Grant from Bethpage Federal Credit Union Supports Long Island’s Most Vulnerable

Options for Community Living, Inc., a Long Island-based not-for-profit organization, received a grant award of $15,000 from Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Funds support affordable supportive housing programs in Nassau and Suffolk County.

“Everyone needs safe, stable housing,” said Yolanda Robano-Gross, Options’ CEO. “Some conditions make it difficult for people to maintain a stable home without help. Supportive housing combines affordable housing with intensive coordinated services to provide that assistance.”

Last year, Options’ supportive housing for formerly homeless people with disabilities and chronic health conditions provided housing for over 200 Long Islanders. The award from Bethpage Federal Credit Union will help support emergency needs for tenants as well as home maintenance which is critical to program management, tenant stability, and housing safety.

“Bethpage Federal Credit Union is an incredible community partner truly invested in improving the quality of life for vulnerable Long Islanders,” said Robano-Gross. “We are grateful for their support.”

“We are pleased to partner with Options for Community Living, Inc.  The Access to Care Supportive Housing program touches the heart of our charitable work in the communities we serve in both Nassau and Suffolk counties” said Linda Armyn, Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs at Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
