Lourdes Soto brings 25 years of law enforcement and leadership experience with the NYPD to her role as a board member. A Chief in the NYPD, she has excelled in several key positions, including serving as the commanding officer of a Patrol Precinct, the Police Commissioner’s office, and currently the Office of the Training Bureau. In each of these roles, she has focused on building strong teams, developing effective strategies, and fostering positive relationships with the community.
Lourdes earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Queens College and a Master’s in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Information Technology from the State University of New York at Albany. She is also a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Lourdes is currently transitioning into a new career as a Marriage and Family Therapist, actively pursuing a Master’s in MFT. She is deeply passionate about supporting individuals and families in their personal growth and well-being, a mission that resonates with her commitment to making a positive impact.
