Laura Pollak currently supervises Nassau RIC’s Data Privacy and Security Service (DPSS). She is a member of RIC One, a statewide collaborative of Regional Information Centers that provide school districts with data privacy and cybersecurity support. She is a contributing member of the RIC One Cyber Intelligence Task Force, the Data Privacy and Security Service and the RIC Risk Operations Center.
Laura also supervises the Nassau Association of School Technologists (NASTECH), a collegial group of technology leaders that meets monthly to collaborate and share edtech best practices. In addition, Laura serves on the CoSN Driving K-12 Innovation Advisory Board, their Student Data Privacy Committee.
Her latest venture is supporting a research study for LGBTQ+ teens and their caregivers, providing support and education from the caregiver perspective. She is an LGBTQ+ ally and tries to support people and animals in need whenever possible.
