Options for Community Living Wins Long Island ’19 Top Workplace Award

Options for Community Living, Inc. has been named a Top Workplace by Newsday for the second year in a row. Awards were presented at a reception held at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Wednesday, October 23rd .  This recognition is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few.

“The Top Workplace award is about much more than recognition and celebration,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “Our research also shows that these organizations achieve higher referral rates, lower employee turnover, and double the employee engagement levels. It just goes to show that being intentional about culture delivers bottom-line results.”

One Options employee said, “Everyone works together to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.”

“We are especially proud of this award because it is the direct result of employee feedback,” said Lori Barraud, Director of Human Resources, Options for Community Living, Inc. “Our employees identify strongly with our goals and our mission. Their work is meaningful and important but not without challenges.  We do our best to show our appreciation and provide a healthy and engaging workplace culture.  This award tells us we are succeeding”.
