Executive Team


Yolanda Robano-Gross, LMSW, MHA, Chief Executive Officer

Yolanda Robano-Gross joined Options as Chief Executive Officer in 2014 with more than twenty years of prior executive-level experience within the health care industry. She is responsible for oversight of all agency affairs and reports to the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include fiscal management of an annual budget of over $24 million, personnel management, program development, and fundraising. She earned her Master’s in Health Care Administration from Hofstra University, her Masters in Social Work from Yeshiva University, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Marist College. She holds a certificate in Executive Education and Non-Profit Leadership from The Fordham Center for Non-Profit Leaders.



Lori Barraud, PHR, SHRM-CP, Chief Operating Officer

Lori Barraud provides oversight of the IT Systems, Compliance, Quality Improvement, and Human Resources functions of the Agency.  She provides strategic input to program development and the overall operation of the organization.  She monitors all Quality Improvement functions agency-wide including performance outcomes related to efficiency, effectiveness, access, business function, and satisfaction.  Ms. Barraud holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Stony Brook University and is a member of the Long Island Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management.  She began her career with Options as a Recruiter in 2003 and rejoined as a member of the Options management team in 2011 with eight years of prior related work experience.  She serves as the agency’s Health and Safety and HIPAA Security and Privacy Officer.



Karen Schwartz, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Karen Schwartz is responsible for overseeing the fiscal operations of the agency. She manages all of the accounting functions, internal and external financial reporting, budgeting, and contract administration. Ms. Schwartz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. John’s University and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. She joined Options in 2010 with more than twenty years of related work experience in both not-for-profit accounting and business consulting services.


Kenya Evans-Pinckney, LCSW, Director, Strategic Initiatives and Licensed Programs

Kenya Evans-Pinckney, LCSW, Director, Strategic Initiatives and Licensed Programs is responsible for maintaining relationships with industry partners, strengthening collaborations, and identifying opportunities for new alliances to promote continued agency growth and success. She monitors changes in federal and state regulations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Ms. Evans-Pinckney also has oversight responsibility for all licensed mental health housing programs, mobile supportive services, and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS.) Ms. Evans-Pinckney joined Options’ executive leadership team in 2021 with more than 14 years of prior director-level experience working with persons recovering from mental illness, substance use, and victims of domestic violence. She is an experienced licensed psychotherapist. She earned her Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in Substance Abuse from Fordham University School of Social Work. She is SIFI certified and holds certificates in Executive Education, Nonprofit Leadership from Fordham University, and Clinical Supervision from NASW.


Robin Sayles, LMHC, Director, Supportive Housing

Robin Sayles has oversight responsibility for Options’ scattered-site Mental Health Supportive Housing Program. The program provides a full range of care management and supportive services that enable tenants to live independently in the community. Ms. Sayles is responsible for the administration of the program, monitoring of program services, building relationships with local service providers, and supervision, oversight, and evaluation of staff. She ensures that all services, procedures, and documentation comply with all regulatory and agency mandates. Ms. Sayles began employment with Options in 1998 as the Supported Housing Supervisor and distinguished herself as a caring and capable leader assuming growing responsibilities in the Mental Health Program through the years. Ms. Sayles has her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.



Allison Covino, Director, Access to Care Programs

Allison Covino has oversight responsibilities for the Access to Care Program (ATC) including care coordination, HIV/AIDS services, and housing programs to ensure compliance with regulations and program policies and procedures. She is responsible for program development and oversight of all program activities in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Ms. Covino has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. As one of the Options’ most experienced employees, she has worked in different capacities in the agency with increasing responsibilities since beginning employment in 1987. She has been responsible for the ATC program since 1994.



Denise Waterhouse, Director, Development

Denise Waterhouse is responsible for planning and implementing the agency’s fundraising efforts which include major gifts, corporate donations, grant solicitation (private and public), and in-kind resources. She is also responsible for promoting the organization through a comprehensive communication plan to maximize public awareness and opportunities that advance the mission and goals of the organization. Ms. Waterhouse has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Her prior experience includes 11 years in Human Resources Management. She has been employed with the agency since 2001.
